Water Deficiency Declarations Revoked for Esperance Farmers!

Thanks to the crazy weather we’ve been receiving across the South Coast, deficiency declarations in Salmon Gums and Grass Patch have been revoked, the last two water deficient declared sites in all of WA. Acting Water Minister Simon McGurk comments, "Following more than two years of extended dry seasons, recent sustained rainfall has provided welcome relief to our farmers and has enabled us to revoke the remaining water deficiency declarations in Western Australia.”

Salmon Gums and Grass Patch have suffered dry conditions for over 2 years now, and a great relief comes with this revocation. It means that emergency water carting for livestock will no longer be required. Read the WA Governments media statement for more details!
